TREVOR DAVIES is an artist working in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a member of the Scottish Society of Artists.
"My work is developing and changing. So I’ve included some early as well as more recent pieces here. As I work at my art now I find a stronger emphasis on surface, texture and edge, as well as more abstract themes. Increasingly, too, there's something of the old, worn, used, even discarded. There are things half-hidden. And marks left behind newly discovered.
I studied at the Edinburgh College of Art and have exhibited at the Royal SCottish Academy, the Society of Scottish Artists in Ayr, Visual Arts Scotland in Newport-on-Tay, Glisk Gallery in Burntisland and Northlight Gallry in Stromness Works have been sold to collectors in America and Australia, Europe and Edinburgh.
My recent "Paperwork" exhibition with colleagues Marion Barron and Ruth Thomas was part of the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe. "The Edinburgh Guide" gave it a 5 star review. Our 2024 "Paperwork" show in the Edinburgh Fringe will run from 16 -26 August at 2 Howe Street.
